after making a mistake in the sizing (should've read the sizechart closely) I have now received the correct size! These shoes are just great, so comfortable, and have been admired by all! I noted a review made earlier about sizing and did order up - a good move.

When I was in Spain a few years ago, I was introduced to "real" espadrilles, and now I buy them every summer. This is one of them. These run a little small -- I had to go up a half size, and the silk doesn't stretch out like the traditional cotton does. (on the other side, the silk is a somewhat dressier shoe). I can wear a good espadrille all day and still be comfortable, and these fit the bill.

I ordered 2 of these espadrilles. One in leather and one in silk fabic. The leather one is super comfy while the fabric one fits snugly on my feet (no discomfort but no stretch). I now know why all the other reviews mentioned that these shoes are 1/2 - 1 size smaller. They are made in Europe and the conversion of european and US shoe shoes always varies and can never be exact. I am European and chose my exact shoe size and it fits me nicely. For US customers though, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND U PICK 1 SIZE BIGGER!! I on other hand, have to buy a size smaller when buying American shoe brands. Overall these shoes are AMAZINGLY GORGEOUS and dressy. They can be used on casual days or a fancy night out. No wonder most of the sizes and colors are sold out!!!
